Stock options trading note...

Blue chips are nice, but many of them are stingy with dividends. Those investors who'd like to see cash rolling out of their portfolio, as well as an overall increase in stock value can get frustrated by the tendency of even some of the best stocks not to pay dividends. This has led many to explore options trading. They sell an option to someone else to buy their stock at a certain price. They get the money from the option sale right away. It isn't a dividend, but it is cash production from an otherwise non-dividend paying stock. Not too shabby. You can, however, get stung if you don't know what you are doing. That's why you should look into PowerOptions, an outfit that can supply you with the tools and info you need to make stock options trading work for you.

Fey not the only one jumping SNL ship...Dratch to go, too!

If you are a big SNL fan, you probably have some mixed feelings about Tina Fey leaving the show to develop her own program. You are happy for the talented vixen on one hand, a bit worried abuot the future of Saturday Night Live on the other.

Well, the worries about SNL are well-founded. Not only is the head writer taking off, scar and all... She is taking another highly talented cast member with her! Rachel Dratch is leaving SNL, too.

Dratch will have a regular part on the new Fey vehicle, 30 Rock.

This is a big blow to SNL, but it sure makes me interested to watch 30 Rock....

"Also leaving "SNL" is regular Rachel Dratch, who plays a sketch actress on Fey's new sitcom."

That's from CBS.

Michaels Seems Torn by Fey Announcement...

Lorne Michaels will be producing 30 Rock, the new Tina Fey program. So, it isn't like he won't be able to work with the sexy scar-bearer on a regular basis or anything. Nonetheless, he doesn't seemed overwhelmed with joy at the prospect of letting her escape Saturday Night Live for primetime...

"Michaels himself suggested that he had already been hit by the train, even though he's also producing 30 Rock. "If you're asking if I'm happy about it, no," he said. "Tina disappearing is a huge hole in the [SNL] writing staff." 30 Rock is scheduled to debut on Oct. 11."

Michaels seems more worried about SNL's future than he does about 30 Rock, which is interesting.

The other great nugget of info: Mark your calendar for OCTOBER 11, the new Tina Fey Show debut!

Source material is here.

Fey digs at Jones in Announcement...

Just in case you didn't see Tina Fey making her announcement, you should know that she will be ditching Saturday Night Live to develop a new prime-time series. Fey broke the news to one entertainment show with a trademark wisecrack:

"Access Hollywood quotes her as joking: "I'm not going to do 'Saturday Night Live' any more. I wish I could...I wanted to stop doing 'Saturday Night Live' so I could spend more time with Star Jones."

The new show, 30 Rock, is a guaranteed winner. Alec Baldwin is involved, too. About time we got some great new prime time programming, huh?

I found the quote about Jones in this Digital Spy article.

New Tina Fey Show: 30 Rock

I am quickly collecting all available information on the breaking Tina Fey story... She is leaving Saturday Night Live to work on a TV series... Apparently, the series will be a parody of SNL.

Parody of a show featuring parody... Oh, my, how potentially infinite! LOL...

Anyway, the show is going to be called "30 Rock."

TV.com says:

"The head writer of venerable NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live won't be back when the show returns this fall, she told the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California. The "Weekend Update" coanchor is ramping up her own prime-time sitcom at NBC, the SNL parody 30 Rock."

It's a good article and you can see it here.

Fey teaming with Baldwin...

As you probably know, Tina Fey is leaving SNL to work on a prime-time series. Good news for fans of Tina, because the show will also be featuring Alex Baldwin, who completely rules, as well.

According to WLNS Channel 6 in Michigan:

"Appearing on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Fey said she wants to focus on her new primetime series. It's not much of a stretch. She portrays the head writer of a fictional late-night sketch show in the new program. Fey developed the series, which also stars Alec Baldwin."

Not much more to the original story, which appears here.

Lots of people don't have a credit card. That's rough for them, because the world seems to run on plastic.
